The souvenir jacket, commonly known as the sukajyan in Japan, originated during the early days of post World War II. The jackets featured a variety of oriental designs (eagle,tiger,dragon) and/or the servicemen’s very own designs of their unit or base names, etc. Later, souvenir jackets became commercialized and sold through Post Exchanges (PX; commissaries within the US army bases) throughout Japan. Kosho & Co., the predecessor of Toyo Enterprise, was the main suppliers of the souvenir jackets and other garments for U.S. bases at the time. By the 1950’s, during its peak, Kosho & Co. had acquired 95% of entire souvenir jacket market. Rooting back from Kosho & Co., Tailor Toyo has been the leading brand of creating sukajyan for over half a decade. Sukajyan by Tailor Toyo is not merely a temporary trend, but a representation of the culture that has been passed down for generations and the essence of originality and authenticity. 1940年代から1950年代にかけて『東洋エンタープライズ』の前身である、『港商商会』が制作したスーベニアジャケットを素材、縫製、ファスナーなどを当時のまま再現した商品。

それが、この　港商　スペシャル・エディションです。

A product that reproduces the material, sewing, fasteners, etc. of the Souvenir jacket produced by “Kosho Shokai” which was the predecessor of “Toyo Enterprise” from the 1940s to the 1950s. That's this KOSHO Special Edition. 表面のデザインは定番のブルー×シルバーのゴールデンカラーに迫力のある龍が描かれ、両袖には紅白のパイピングを搭載。

リバーシブル面はクールなオールブラックを採用し、人気のある伝説のイーグルがプリントデザインで描かれたスペシャルエディションならではのスーベニアジャケットに 仕上がっています。

The surface design features a classic blue x silver golden color with a powerful dragon and red and white piping on both sleeves. The reversible surface uses cool all-black, and is a special edition souvenir jacket with a popular legendary eagle drawn by print design. ★
